Real-Techniques-Logo1-e1421094301125

In today’s post, I will be writing about my go to makeup brushes which are from Real Techniques and telling you what I use the brushes for.

Before I even knew about makeup brushes, I always used to use my fingers to apply my makeup. I remember getting a cheap set of brushes but I mainly used the eyeshadow ones and left the others in their little pouch. Then I heard about Real Techniques and how their brushes were great quality and at an affordable price too.

LIP LOOK: Giorgio Armani ‘Rouge Ecstasy’ lipstick

GA small lipstick

In today’s post, I will be writing about Giorgio Armani’s ‘Rouge Ecstasy’ lipstick and featuring a lip look wearing it.

A couple of weeks ago, I had birthday money to spend. As well as buying makeup, I bought myself the gorgeous smelling Giorgio Armani Si perfume from Boots, retailing at £47.00 for the 30ml Eau de Parfum bottle. The girl kindly got it out of the glass cabinet for me and before we both we went to the counter so I could pay for it, she rummaged in a cupboard and brought out a free gift to go with my perfume.

The Power Of Makeup

Half face

In today’s post, I will be writing about the power makeup has on those who choose to wear it and showing my ‘half face makeup selfie’.

I first started experimenting with makeup when I was age 15 and in my 4th year at high school. Even though I suffered from acne, I was lucky enough to get away with not wearing any makeup at all and had my friends tell me I was naturally pretty (I completely disagreed, obviously). When I was younger, I would sit and watch my mum apply her makeup, nothing fancy, just your everyday plain makeup look and I wanted to be like her at some point in my life. My female friends at high school all started wearing makeup, so I wanted to do the same.

MAKEUP REMOVAL: Products I use featuring my skin care routine

Cottonwool balls

In today’s post, I will be writing about the products I use to remove my makeup and also what my skin care routine consists of.

Ever since I started puberty aged 12, I was one of many people who suffered from acne. At that age, I didn’t wear makeup or have a proper skin care routine so just put up with having horrible spots on my face.

LIP LOOK AND REVIEW: M.A.C Velvet Teddy lipstick and Soar lip pencil

Lip look

In today’s post, I will be writing about M.A.C’s Velvet Teddy lipstick and Soar lip pencil. You will see swatches of these two products and my final lip look.

On Saturday (15th August), I took a trip to the Silverburn shopping centre in Glasgow to purchase Velvet Teddy and Soar. I was hoping and praying that they had these two products in stock. I’m the type of person that as soon as I want something, I need to have it! Plus I get my hopes up pretty quick. Anyway, I headed in to the M.A.C shop located in Debenhams – it was mobbed! I finally spoke to one of the girls and fortunately for me, she had the lipstick and lip pencil in stock! HALLELUJAH!

Urban Decay Naked 2 palette: A smokey eye look

Smokey eye

In today’s blog post, you will see a smokey eye look using Urban Decay’s Naked 2 palette. Also, you will see which colours I used to achieve this look.

I remember the first time I clapped my eyes on the palette. The colours were so lovely and pigmented, I knew I had to create some sort of look with them (for those who have this palette, you’ll know what I’m on about!). To get the right smokey eye look, I watched a YouTube video on how to create this and fell in love straight away. Here is my smokey eye below (excuse my eyebrow!)…
